Text: Daniel 7:9-10 Dear Young People, KEEP
FOCUSING ON SEEING THE MAJESTY OF GOD Daniel took time to describe what he saw. This represented his focus. He kept on seeking to focus on The Ancient of Days. We are well advised to emulate his example.
How do you feel as you read this portion of Scripture? What impresses your mind? Surely, we are impacted by the great majesty of God and His grand throne room. The throne of God was not an ordinary one. The throne was as if it was set on wheels, and the fire surrounded the throne. From the fiery throne, "a fiery stream issued forth". "Fire" is a great symbol in the Old Testament. It was a fiery burning bush that drew Moses. It was a pillar of fire that protected Israel at night when the nation journeyed to Canaan. It was fire that consumed the offering Elijah presented to God. It was fire that consumed the wicked young people who sought to harass him. The presence of fire represented the power of God to judge righteously. It also represented His Personal Presence. The majesty of God is further enhanced by the fact that millions stood around to minister to Him. Imagine them as royal servants of God who stood at attention to do His bidding. Imagine millions of people serving God! What a majestic God we have! Do you have such an understanding and appreciation of God?
