Text: Daniel 7:13-14
Dear
Young People,
Dear
Young People,
TAKE
TIME TO REVIEW YOUR STUDIES
One of the most important things to do when we wish to master the Lord's
work is to practise the principle of REVIEW. Let's take time to review
the vision that Daniel received from the Lord (Cf. Daniel 7:1).
It
is only through constant review that we have a better understanding, and
we have a stronger grasp of the Lord's Word. Remember to review your knowledge
of God's Word all the time.
THE
VISIONS OF DANIEL
Part 1 of the Visions of the Future (Daniel 7:1-8)
What was the first part of the Visions? There was a succession of 4 beasts.
1.
The first was a lion with wings. What did that represent? (Babylon).
2.
The second beast was a ferocious bear. What did that represent? (Medo-Persia)
3.
The third beast was a leopard. What did that represent? (Greece)
4.
The fourth beast had ten horns, plus one. What did that represent? (Rome
and the Antichrist's reign).
Part 2 of the Visions of the Future (Daniel 7:9-10)
The second part of the Visions of the future focused on the Throne Room
of God in Heaven. This featured an important truth. God Almighty, the
Ancient of Days was in absolute control, even though there was going to
be a succession of empires on the earth.
Part
3 of the Visions of the Future (Daniel 9:11-12)
The third part of the Visions focused on the reign of the little horn,
the kingdom of the Antichrist. He too would be destroyed, as certainly
as all the other beasts would be destroyed by God in due time.
THE LAST PART OF THE VISIONS
The last part was a truly amazing vision. It featured the Return of the
Son of Man, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Let us take time to read about
this prophetic vision.
"I
was watching in the night visions,
And behold, One like the Son of Man,
Coming with the clouds of heaven…
Daniel 7:13
Imagine the significance of this prophetic vision! Whereas Isaiah prophesied
the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, Daniel was given a vision of His Second
Coming. What a tremendous unfolding
of the future. Be challenged to study God's Word more.
Prayerfully,
Pastor
Charlie
