Text: Daniel 7:14

Dear Young People,

THE GREATEST KINGDOM EVER
Daniel was given a series of visions where the future was shown to him. At the time of his ministry, he lived to see two of the visions fulfilled. He lived under the Babylonians and the Medo-Persians.

History bears out the fact that his visions were correct. Two other world empires came and went. The Greeks conquered the Medo-Persians, only to be defeated by the mighty Roman Empire.

There are two more world empires to come. Both will come to pass, as sure as the four empires were revealed and fulfilled. The next world empire will be a terrible one. It will be ruled by the Antichrist. His reign was described as the little horn.

However, the greatest empire is yet to come. This would be the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us take time to consider what the Scriptures have to say on this subject.

"Then to Him was given dominion
and glory and a kingdom.
That all peoples, nations, and languages
Should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
Which shall not pass away,
And His Kingdom the one
Which not be destroyed."
Daniel 7:14

"THE SAINTS OF THE MOST HIGH SHALL RECEIVE THE KINGDOM" Daniel 7:18
When Daniel first received the visions, he was troubled. He could not understand all that he saw in his visions. Let us consider what he did when he was troubled.

"I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body,
and the visions of my head troubled me.
I came near to one of those who stood by (an angel),
And asked him the truth of all this.
So he told me and made known to me
The interpretation of these things.
Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings
Which arise out of the earth.
But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom,
And possess the kingdom forever, even forever, and ever."
Daniel 7:15-18

However, before we take up in greater detail how Daniel went about finding answers to his questions, let us notice one important phrase in this portion of God's Word.

"But the saints of the Most High
shall receive the Kingdom
and possess the kingdom forever,
even forever and ever."
Daniel 7:18

If you were to be asked, "Are you one of those who will receive the Kingdom and possess it forever?" How would you answer? Do you know whether you are included in God's Kingdom as one of His saints?
